More about the business in a moment...
First, we should talk about what God did in the community.
On Easter Sunday, the whole community of workers gathered on a high place. We worshipped together. All stretched out their hands in unity to pray for unity among local christians and for Jesus to be known.
The Lord began to do amazing things.
One of the days, we were the subject of ding-dong-ditch. :)
The boys rang and ran away 5 times. But Mandie was making cookies. So, she waited by the door for the 6th ring...and when she heard the sound she flung the door open and said, "Gotcha! ...want a cookie?".
At first they were hesitant.
The bold one of the group took a cookie, and then they all did.
This led to inviting all the kids to play together. Our kids we hesitant but excited. Now our boys have neighborhood friends and they play soccer and skateboard together almost everyday.
We praise God for his provision.
Now we'd love to share God's provision for our business platform.
This is what the Lord empowered from mid April to mid May:
• Mandie presents our business plan to global cohort with accolades
• Registered business after many government and bank visits
• Completely moved to business office and arranging things
• Spoke with landlord for office space about export over sea
• The team collaborated on the design for a beautiful logo
• Designed and ordered t-shirts and hats for the brand
• Met with workers previously in the rug trade
• Visited Argan oil company to learn their biz
• Mandie lead first Marrakech buying trip
• First product and lifestyle photos done
• Started looking for airbnb properties

It is unnerving when you see a "Moroccan blanket" and turn the tag to see it was made in India or Pakistan. We curate beautiful items that are ACTUALLY and responsibly hand made in Morocco.
