A subtle twist on Giving Tuesday…
When God asks for jars, the miracle is already in motion.
Hi friends,
We’ve been thinking about that remarkable story in 2 Kings 4—the widow with nothing left but a single flask of oil.
She had a real financial need. A crisis she couldn’t solve alone.
And when the prophet asked her, “What do you have in your house?”
her answer must have felt almost embarrassing:
“I have nothing… except a small flask of oil.”
But God has a way of using whatever we have in our hands—even when it feels too small.
The widow obeyed the simple instruction she was given:
go to your friends, ask for empty jars, and start pouring.
And the miracle wasn’t in the oil.
The miracle was in the asking.
Every time a friend handed her a jar,
the oil flowed.
Another jar—more oil.
Another jar—still more.
Until the only thing that stopped the miracle…
was that there were no more jars to fill.
A subtle twist on Giving Tuesday
Today, people everywhere are giving financially. And we’re grateful—your partnership has literally carried our family and our ministry.
But instead of asking you to give today, we want to invite you into the same kind of faith-filled moment the widow had.
Not giving into jar… but offering a jar.
More on that in a moment…
Here’s what we have in our hands:
Our story of what God has done through our years of missions work
Our calling to Taipei, the most shrine-saturated city in the world
A growing opportunity through business, discipleship, and the international church
A strategic ministry model that lets us meet people where they already gather—coffee shops, coworking spaces, neighborhoods, and global workplaces
God is already moving in Taiwan. The hunger is real. The openness is surprising. The timing is right.
And just like the widow, the miracle grows as friends bring jars.

This Giving Tuesday, the “gift” is simply helping us gather jars.
Every jar matters.
Every introduction matters.
And we believe the oil will keep flowing as long as jars keep coming.
Thank you for praying. Thank you for believing.
And thank you for walking with us into what God is doing in Taipei.
With gratitude,
